Dawn Princess "World Cruise Sector 2010" Los Angeles 11th August 2010-19 nights.
Depart Napier 3rd August - 5 nights Las vegas, 3 nights Los Angeles - cruise home to Auckland via Hawaii, Tahiti, Moorea, Pago Pago.
Last night we all enjoyed the Ka cirque de soliel show at the MGM, that casino is one of the biggest on the strip and their theatre was awesome. We were gob smacked by the performance and were amazed by the whole show. We then ventured through the crowds , street entertainers, traffic and heat to the bar where we had arranged to have the All Black game on the big screen. We were joined by 2 firefighters from Arizona who also love the game. The bar was next to a strip club which made it alittle difficlut to concentrate on the game!!! Again our boys played well and won the game but not without a good fight from the Aussies. We made it back to our hotel about 3.30 am a little weary and merry. Slept till 10.30 this morning. Sue and I grabbed a taxi to the outlet shopping centre which was well worth a visit. Sue was very happy with all her purchases......meanwhile we left the boys to deal with the laundry which is what all good men should do.!!! They found a taxi to a laundramat and then disappeared to another casino. Vaughan now knows the ins and outs of Black jack!!!! We arranged to meet at Jimmys bar as we had to meet up with the 4 Aussies we have only ever talked to via email. This bar was chocker full and we decided to sweep through at least once and look for 2 couples that looked like Aussies!! We didnt find them they found us!! So it was kinda weird but cool to meet them. We all left that bar and went to another one where we could actually hear each other......they are excited to be in Vegas and like us cant wait to get on that ship. They arrived here yesterday via the Lux Bus which is what we are catching tomorrow at 3.30 to leave fore LA. They said the bus trip was great, luxury seating with a full service of beverages and food. Brians birthday today..... happy birthday Brian.!! We had a couple of drinks with our fellow cruisers and then went to dinner with Sue and Brian. They went onto the casino and Vaughan and I ventured out into the masses and heat to go to the Planet Hollywood casino where we had tickets to Holly Maddisons Peepshow.....mmmm!! it was certainly abit more than a peep. All I can say is she has one hell of a body!!!! It was a great show and was enjoyed by another full house. We had a go on some of the machines in this casino and as usual lost our $$$. Have spent some time chatting to Todd and Bridie on facebook and now heading for bed. Tomorrow have decided to go back to the outlet shopping. Need the boys there for Levis and Skechers shoes. Levis here are cheap....29 to 40 a pair and skechers from $19. We leave Vegas for LA tomorrow afternoon.
